Jeez! It’s a bit gloomy for August. Then again, isn’t it always?
I’ve got quite a few life tasks to do. Things that have been neglected. Nothing serious. Just stuff like renewing my passport and health and safety certificate, getting my eyes tested, etc…
As usual, money is tight. I could do with a lucky bonus!
It normally only happens when I’m positive and don’t care.
Tuesday, 15th August 2023.
Well. I managed to defrost the little fridge and clean the washing machine. Apart from that, fuck all. I had a curry and watched Ghostbusters Afterlife.
My best sleep is in the cool, earlier morning. That’s when I feel best. It’s hard to get up. I’m on the 07:44 train. I should have got on the 06:11.
Standing room only now. Never look people in the eye. Avoid the guilt.
Wednesday, 17th August 2023
I went to and thro yesterday. Little thing here, little thing there. Hung out with the Guv. He bought me lunch.
I got home, played a little COD, and then fell asleep after eating 4 small baked potatoes with tuna and sweetcorn.
I woke this morning at 11:30! I kinda missed work. Bollocks! I really need the money.
My alarm went off, but must have turned it off and gone back to sleep.
I ended up playing COD all afternoon and making a ragu.
I did receive some stickers off of Temu to put on my work helmet though.
Thursday, 17th August 2023.
I decided to drive in. Just pure laziness. It’s not too bad at the moment, because of the summer holidays. Sadly, the place I’m working in is about 1000 degrees!
I seem to have put quite a lot of wait on, too. At least a stone. I had to get some 33″ waist Levi’s.

All said and done, I’m still having eggs benedict and Guinness for breakfast. Eating habits change with each job I do. I doubt I’ll have it tomorrow. I have a day of testing. Helping out the guys we have on our large job down the road.

Carter had her operation today. Everything seems to have gone well.
